Sixth Form

A very warm welcome to New Rickstones Academy Sixth Form, one of two effective and improving sixth forms in Witham, working in partnership with Maltings Academy.

Here at New Rickstones Academy (NRA), in partnership with Maltings Academy (MA), we are able to offer over 45 courses at level 2 and 3 and enable you, the student, more choice of subjects and a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities including electives, work placements, leadership roles and sport.

In 2010, NRA was amongst the most improved 6th Forms in the country and we are looking to build on this progress. All the staff at NRA are very proud of our Sixth Formers' achievements, both within and outside of the academy.

Added to all of this, each academy will benefit from the opening of two brand new £25 million buildings in the coming year, equipping students with state of the art facilities that will help us and them to continue our drive towards world class outcomes.

Recent Results

Many congratulations to our Year 13 students, all of whom achieved their places at their chosen Universities. A*-E passes improved from 75% to 98%, top grade passes (grades A*, A, B and Distinction) went up from 18% to 58% and average points score improved from 450 to 620. These results are quite possibly the most improved results in the county, perhaps even nationally - massive congratulations to all students, staff, parents and carers for their incredible hard work over the past two years.
