Extra-ordinary Closure February 2012 - New Build Move

5 school days until we are up and running in the new building!!!

‘D Day’ is Monday 27^th February when we will all start afresh in the new and exciting environment that the new building offers and this will be a 'B' Week

In order facilitate the smooth transition in to this brand new learning environment, we are closed to students for the week of 20^th-24^th EXCEPT FOR YEAR 11 AND SELECTED 6^TH FORM STUDENTS.

Year 11 will have their normal timetable during this week and will be taught by their normal teachers in a suite of rooms on the first floor.  They will have access to the Central Café and the outside area at break and lunchtime.  Sandwiches and a drink will be provided for them every day; however if they want any other snacks or drinks they will need to bring their own (a reminder that no fizzy or energy drinks are allowed).  Year 11 have non-uniform all that week and the Prom Committee will be collecting £2 from each Year 11 student to go towards the Year 11 Prom on 6 July.  Please note that during the closure week, Year 11 will be working on a Week A timetable.

The Sixth Form will have their assigned lessons (see separate letter) in new building. Lunch (sandwiches and a drink) will be provided every day.

During the week beginning 6^th February we will take groups of students across to the new building for their induction, further details will be issued to students nearer the time.
